2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Key Thought

There are three things that God is asking for in this verse to provide us with healing.

Humility, hunger (for righteousness) and holiness.

First, if we are willing to humble ourselves before God, he can reveal to us what needs to be changed and help us make these changes. Next, if we hunger for righteousness, we will find our desire for godliness to increase. Lastly, holiness comes from repenting from sin. Repentance means to confess our sins and turn away from them.

If we can do these things God can bring major healing to our lives.

Prayer

Gracious Father in heaven, thank you for your mercy and willingness to forgive. Help us to be humble and seek you, so that you can bring great healing to our land. Amen.
