Matthew 6:19-21

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

What we most treasure most is where we will find our heart. So an important question to ask yourself is, “what do I treasure?” We can treasure riches, power, security, and relationships, but it is only by turning loose the treasures of this world that we find the true treasure in Jesus Christ. Let’s not store our treasures here on earth but to store them in heaven by living our lives for God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I pray that that you help me find my treasure in you and nothing else. I want to offer you all that I have and all that I am, so that my life will be lived for your glory. Amen.
