Psalm 46:10

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

Key Thought

I don’t know about you, but sometimes it is very hard for me to be still. When I am struggling with fear and feeling out of control, I want to do something. I want to take matters into my own hands and “fix it.”

When I trust in myself or others rather than resting in God, I find things don’t work out as they should. God wants us to be still, put our trust in him and let him work it out. That way he can be exalted and our faith in him will be increased.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me to be still and put my full trust in you. Even when things seem hard help me to wait for you. Amen.
