Weariness is a part of life and it is a part of ministry. Weariness can overtake us when we set our hearts on doing good for others. The wonderful blessing of God, however, is that he will renew us and sustain us. God will renew us through the encouraging word of a friend or through his presence in us, through the Holy Spirit. He will renew us through songs that lift our hearts or through Scripture and prayer. So while our bodies and spirits may bet weary, let's not let our good deeds stop. If we will serve God with faithfulness, discipline, and integrity, his grace will empower us to do what he has called us to do.

Dear Heavenly Father, when I find myself weary and discouraged in my service to you and to others help me to seek you for renewal. I want to actively and effectively serve you all the days of my life. Amen.
